This island is one of the most popular destinations
for day trips from Bali. The journey takes between
one and two hours, depending on whether you take
a boat or motor boat. The pristine sandy beaches
with calm bays are abundant with colourful sea
life, so diving and snorkeling are very popular.
For the less adventurous, glass-bottomed boats
are available.
Nusa Lembongan is one of famous dive
site in Bali. The drift diving is particularly
recommended to see some of the best marine life
with great visibility, slopes bustle with hard
coral, sweetlips, eaglerays, sharks, oceanic sunfish,
but the currents can be unpredictable. At the
northern end of the island, Mangrove Point, Crystal
Bay and the Blue Corner are all good diving sites.
Towards the east is Manta Point where schools
of Mantas come to mate. Please note experience
divers only recommended.
