Candidasa (Karangasem - Bali)
This small seaside resort still retains the tranquility of a traditional fishing village. Its beach, although narrow, is an excellent place to relax and take in the spectacular panorama which includes the islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida. Small boats can be hired for snorkeling or pleasure cruises to the rocky islets off the coast. Accommodation in the area is good, making it a good base from which to explore the sights of the east Bali, arguably the best part of the island.
